The book of Isaiah has sometimes been referred to as "the fifth gospel" because of the way that it so clearly depicts both Jesus' birth and his passion. From judgement and condemnation to restoration and joy, Isaiah talks about the life of God's people, and how He not only has called them to forsake their sinful ways, but how He would go about redeeming them through His Servant.
