Called to Be Parenting Podcast Episode 2: Responsibility
Pastor Justin Krupsky   -

Dear Parents and Caregivers,

As we journey together in guiding our children toward a life of faith and responsibility, we can look to Noah from the book of Genesis as an example.

Noah’s story is one of immense responsibility. Against all odds and amidst skepticism from those around him, Noah took on the God-given task of building an ark to save his family and the animals of the earth from the impending flood. His commitment to his calling demonstrates the essence of responsibility – the willingness to take ownership of one’s duties and obligations, regardless of the challenges that may arise.

Just as Noah diligently followed through with his task, we too can instill in our children the importance of responsibility in their daily lives. Whether it’s completing their chores, studying for tests, or showing compassion towards others, instilling a sense of responsibility empowers our children to navigate life’s challenges with integrity and purpose.

Galatians 6:5 says “Let each man bear his own burdens.” We can look to this verse as a way to accept individual responsibility. The good news, though, is that we really aren’t carrying our responsibilities alone: we always have a friend in Jesus.

Let us encourage our children to embrace responsibility not as a burden, but as a privilege and an opportunity to make a positive impact on the world around them. We encourage you to read the story of Noah with your family to help you nurture responsible and compassionate students who will carry out their calling to share Christ’s story with love.

Please continue to partner with us as we encourage you to complete the activities on the calendar.

In Christ,
