Our Lord Jesus Christ has given clear command to us in Matthew 28:18-20 to make disciples of all people through a diligent ministry of Word and Sacrament. According to Christ’s promise and command, we proclaim a Gospel which invited all individuals into a living faith relationship with Christ as Savior. The Lord’s Gospel message, which we are so excited to share, urges and empowers Christ’s disciples to grow continually in following and imitating Him.
God has called us to make disciples in a growing suburban area. We have a rich and blessed heritage through our affiliation with the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod and our nearly 130 plus years of ministry (125th anniversary in 2007) at this location. Yet, Trinity is a young, lively congregation. We are a progressive fellowship, always holding to the truths of our Biblical foundation, but continually seeking new, innovative, and creative ways of sharing that truth. Our large and gifted membership enables us to offer a wide range of opportunities and experiences for the Christian disciple. Even with our size, members and visitors alike recognize Trinity to be a caring and friendly fellowship.
Worship is at the center of our ongoing effort to call and equip disciples. While our services reflect our tradition, they also respond to the ever changing needs of modern people. Our weekly worship affords us the opportunity to assemble together to praise our God, receive His Word, and encourage one another in the faith. Trinity offers worship opportunities in a variety of convenient times, with services which are diverse in style, orderly, and spiritually stimulating.
Believing that God has spoken to us in truth through His Word, the Bible, we call and equip disciples through a fervent program of Christian instruction. We support an exciting program of Christian education through our parochial school, our affiliation with the Lutheran High School Association, and an ever expanding schedule of Bible Class programs offered throughout the week for all members. Together, we strive to provide the spiritual needs of all members, of both individuals and members of special groups, such as youth, senior citizens, and others.
As disciples, we seek to share our faith in Jesus as Lord and Savior. We equip our members to effectively witness their faith to friends and relatives. We bring the Gospel to our community through an organized evangelism program. Trinity’s efforts are not limited to the immediate area, but are truly world-wide in scope, as the congregation actively supports various missions in other regions. We as disciples believe that the Lord has called us to hold every person sacred, one for whom Jesus died; therefore, we seek to minister to the total person, spirit and body.
