What Former Students Say
Eisenhower High School, Class of 2014
"Reminiscing on my elementary school days, I can confidently attest to the fact that Trinity led me down the right paths in both my spiritual journey and my education. When I entered the third grade as a new student, I was immediately greeted by teachers and peers who reflected the school’s values, predicated on Christian morals and beliefs. Daily religion classes in accordance with weekly chapel services supported the values being taught at home throughout my education, and I was pleased to be firmly rooted in my beliefs as it came time for eighth grade confirmation. General education, as well, was second-to-none. Small class sizes and qualified, passionate teachers consistently place Trinity’s standardized test scores well above that of the area’s public school system. What’s more important, even with the advent of modern science, Trinity continually places an emphasis on biblical teachings, for example, uniquely approaching the science of evolution with a comprehensive analysis of both sides. Trinity prepared me very well for higher education; I graduated from Eisenhower High School with a 4.19 GPA as a National AP Scholar. I am currently attending the University of Alabama on a scholarship to study Biology and Philosophy while on the pre-med track in the Honors College. To my classmates and faculty at Trinity I owe my humblest thanks and appreciation, for their dedication and passion are what inspire me to share Christ’s story with love."
Romeo High School, Class of 2014
"I truly believe that attending Trinity Lutheran School has not only given me an excellent academic experience but also, and I think most importantly, a firm foundation in which my faith can flourish. Academically, Trinity provides students with a curriculum that will challenge thinking, stimulate problem solving, teach great study habits, and expose kids to the importance of group work and collaboration. The entire staff -- teachers, custodians, pastors, and principals alike -- all lead by a Christian example and their care and genuine passion for God positively adds to the experience. Personally, I still have great relationships with former teachers and principals, and they are always excited to hear what their past students have been accomplishing. Attending Trinity prepared me socially, academically, and spiritually for future schooling as I went on to graduate from Romeo High School in 2014 ranking 17th out of 476 people in my graduating class. Currently, I am now heading into my sophomore year attending Illinois Institute of Technology in Chicago, IL on a full ride leadership scholarship, studying chemical engineering, and playing collegiate volleyball. I would not be who I am today if it wasn't for the network, skills, education, support, and medium to build my faith that Trinity provided me with from Kindergarten to 8th grade."
Lutheran High Northwest Class of 2011
"Thinking back on my Trinity years, the first thing that comes to mind is the verse 'Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it' (Proverbs 22:6). Trinity was instrumental in planting seeds of faith within me, which the Holy Spirit nurtured so my faith could grow and flourish. When it comes to academics, Trinity is excellent. Upon completion of my freshman year of high school, it was plain for me to see that I had been better prepared than a lot of my fellow classmates. Trinity has gifted teachers who teach creatively and sincerely, all the while teaching through the lens of a Christian worldview. I still have friends from Trinity, and will not forget what I learned there about discipline, character, and faith. I graduated from Lutheran High School Northwest in 2011 ranking 1 (tied for first, actually, with another Trinity graduate). Then I attended Calvin College and graduated in 2015 with a major in biochemistry and a minor in Spanish. I'm currently volunteering at a vet clinic, tutoring, and pursuing veterinary school. I will not forget the kindness God has shown me through the people he has placed in my life."
